A practical guide for inviting the wisdom of Mary Magdalene into everyday life • Provides a unique workbook for use in the spiritual pathwork of Magdalene Circles • Includes wisdom stories, guided meditations, journaling questions, and essays by Margaret Starbird, author of The Woman with the Alabaster Jar • Designed for those involved in Magdalene Circles and those interested in applying the sacred feminine wisdom of the Goddess to their lives Women’s circles have been called a “revolutionary-evolutionary movement hidden in plain sight” by Jean Shinoda Bolen and have been hailed as capable of affecting global change. Magdalene Circles are groups of women who focus their shared energies on the wisdom of Mary Magdalene to gain insight into the role of the sacred feminine in their own lives and to help them advance on their spiritual paths. This book offers 14 lessons to help understand the wisdom offered by Mary Magdalene’s story and mythos. Among the lessons are prophecies of the bride, why we need the bride, Magdalene’s archetypal pattern of descent, and how modern women carry the Grail. Well-suited for the individual reader as well as a group, each lesson includes an introduction, guided meditation, questions for journaling, and an essay by Margaret Starbird as well as suggestions for group sharing. Placing Mary Magdalene within the pattern of “cyclic renewal” of earth-based religions, this book offers the chance to incorporate the sacred feminine wisdom of Mary Magdalene into everyday life for Christians and spiritual feminists alike.
In July 2010, Mary Magdalene began "beckoning" to humanity through Mercedes Kirkel, coming to her daily with essential instructions for our evolution into higher consciousness. Mary Magdalene Beckons contains the full series of Mary's messages, together with Kirkel's insightful commentary. These universal teachings help us: - Open our hearts - Experience our bodies, sexuality, and emotions as pathways to the Divine - Allow pain to take us to God - Free us from judgmental thinking, doubt, blame, and restricting beliefs - Understand the interplay between the Divine Masculine and Feminine, and harmonize our inner Masculine and Feminine While most books about Mary Magdalene focus on her historical life and her relationship with Jesus, Mary Magdalene Beckons presents Mary in her contemporary role as illumined and compassionate teacher. Much like Jesus of two thousand years ago, Mary is devoted to advancing people in their spiritual growth in practical ways. As such, she serves as both a source of valuable assistance and a shining example of the Sacred Feminine. Whether you're new to Mary Magdalene's wisdom and compassion or a longtime admirer of hers, "Mary Magdalene Beckons" is a gift to the heart. "One of the most profound books of our day." - Flo Aeveia Magdalena, author of "I Remember Union" "We can feel Mary's energy leaping off the pages of this book. Her words here are part of a pure transmission of Mary's teaching that is now being restored to the world. If you want to hear the real voice of Mary Magdalene, buy this book." - Stuart Wilson and Joanna Prentis, authors of "Power of the Magdalene" "'Mary Magdalene Beckons' brings forth perennial wisdom teachings of the Sacred Feminine in conscious partnership with the Sacred Masculine. . . . Mercedes gives us an intelligent and "feelingful" Magdalene who can guide us through transformative processes into greater light and deeper love." - Joan Norton, author of "The Mary Magdalene Within" To learn more about Mary Magdalene Beckons: Join the River of Love and Mercedes, and to see the book trailer, visit www.marymagdalenebeckons.com. Most of us have come to realize patriarchy - rule by a male-dominated society revering solely a male God - is not working for Mother Earth or most of the people on the planet. How do we counter beliefs that there is no option but the authoritarian father? How does society go about making a course correction? How do ideas that permeate every level of society from womb to tomb, boardroom to bedroom, voting booth to the workplace shift into a more fair, equal, and just world of partnership, sharing, caring and peace? Those are exactly the questions discussed on the long-running radio show, /Voices of the Sacred Feminine/, hosted by Rev. Dr. Karen Tate in her show dedicated to the Sacred Feminine as deity, archetype and ideal. Never before has an internet radio show cast such a wide net to include so many voices whose ideals are in alignment with “sacred feminine liberation thealogy.” If we can imagine it, vision it, and restore ancient truths swept beneath the rug and kicked to the curb by patriarchy, then we can manifest it! Hear solutions from these visionaries, scholars, wayshowers, foremothers and activists - women and men - dedicated to reshaping our world... In ever-increasing numbers, women and men are seeking spirituality beyond traditional religious institutions and more and more their new normal includes the deities, ideals and archetypes of the Sacred Feminine. They have a desire to get beyond the patriarchal dogma that often perpetuates sexism, homophobia and the domination of Gaia and all her inhabitants, including the body of Mother Earth. Goddess Calling is designed to give individuals or those desiring to serve their communities a springboard to offer “sermons from the pulpit” with ideas to create a format for a regular gathering or service. Easy to digest and sometimes gently following the seasons of the year and holidays already on most people’s calendars, these messages and meditations use Goddess archetypes, ideals and mythology to provide content for education, inspiration and contemplation for anyone seeking to incorporate a feminine face of God within their spirituality, no matter what their faith.

This monograph focuses on "Christian Goddess Spirituality" (CGS), the phenomenon of (mostly) women who combine Christianity and Goddess Spirituality, including Wicca/Witchcraft. Mary Ann Beavis’s study provides ethnographic data and analysis on the lived religious experience of CGS practitioners, drawing on interviews of over 100 women who self-identify as combining Christianity and Goddess spirituality. Although CGS also has implications for Goddess Spirituality and related traditions (e.g., Neopaganism, Wicca), here, CGS is considered primarily as a phenomenon within Christianity. However, the study also shows that the fusion of Christian and Goddess spiritualties has had an impact on non-Christian feminist spirituality, since Goddess-worshippers have often constructed Christianity as the diametrical opposite and enemy of the Goddess, to the point that some refuse to admit the possibility that CGS is a valid spiritual path, or that it is even possible. In addition, biblical, Jewish and Christian images of the divine such as Sophia, Shekhinah, the Virgin Mary, and even Mary Magdalene, have found their way into the "Pagan" Goddess pantheon. The main themes of the study include: overlaps and differences between Christian feminist theology and CGS; the routes to CGS for individual practitioners, and their beliefs, practices and experiences; proto-denominational classifications ("spiritual paths") within CGS; CGS thealogy (Christian discourse about the female divine); and the future of CGS in social scientific and ecclesiological context. Christian Goddess Spirituality will be of interest to scholars of religion, especially those with interests in women and religion, feminist spiritualities, feminist theology/thealogy, alternative spiritualities, New Religious Movements, and emergent Christianities.
