In this book (previously published as Crippled America), we’re going to look at the state of the world right now. It’s a terrible mess, and that’s putting it mildly. There has never been a more dangerous time. The politicians and special interests in Washington, DC are directly responsible for the mess we are in. So why should we continue listening to them? It’s time to bring America back to its rightful owners—the American people. I’m not going to play the same game politicians have been playing for decades—all talk, no action, while special interests and lobbyists dictate our laws. I am shaking up the establishment on both sides of the political aisle because I can’t be bought. I want to bring America back, to make it great and prosperous again, and to be sure we are respected by our allies and feared by our adversaries. It’s time for action. Americans are fed up with politics as usual. And they should be! In this book, I outline my vision to make America great again, including: how to fix our failing economy; how to reform health care so it is more efficient, cost-effective, and doesn’t alienate both doctors and patients; how to rebuild our military and start winning wars—instead of watching our enemies take over—while keeping our promises to our great veterans; how to ensure that our education system offers the resources that allow our students to compete internationally, so tomorrow’s jobseekers have the tools they need to succeed; and how to immediately bring jobs back to America by closing our doors to illegal immigrants, and pressuring businesses to produce their goods at home. This book is my blueprint for how to Make America Great Again. It’s not hard. We just need someone with the courage to say what needs to be said.

With the publication of his Personal Memoirs in 1885, Ulysses S. Grant established what is today known as the presidential memoir. Every U.S. president since Benjamin Harrison has written one and many have turned to other forms of writing, as well. This book covers the history of works—including autobiographies, diaries, political manifestos, speeches, fiction and poetry—authored by U.S. presidents and published prior to, during or after their terms. The writing was easy for some, harder for others, with varying success, from literary comebacks and bestsellers to false starts and failures.

The 2016 election of Donald J. Trump exposed a deep divide in American politics and culture, one that pollsters and pundits didn't seem to realize was there. But Trump did, and he used it to his advantage in ways that surprised nearly everyone, even those who voted for him. Perhaps the biggest question on many people's minds is how, exactly, did a crass, unrepentant reality TV star and cutthroat business tycoon secure the majority of the religious conservative vote? Now the New York Times bestselling author of The Faith of George W. Bush and The Faith of Barack Obama turns his pen toward the Trump phenomenon. Through meticulous research and personal interviews, Stephen Mansfield uncovers who Trump's spiritual influences have been and explains why Christian conservatives were attracted to this unlikely candidate. The book ends with a reflection on the vital role of prophetic distance, both historically and now.

Sick of politics? Here's the antidote. The funniest political satire since Donald Trump's 'Great Again: How to Fix Our Crippled America' culminates with the greatest April Fools joke in history. BREXIT - (GBBO) is a Whitehall farce in the tradition of 'Yes, Prime Minister'. Britain's Prime Minister, Theresa Dismay, sits alone in Number 10's Cabinet Room her head cradled despairingly in her hands and she ponders the meaning of her political albatross - BREXIT. While her homily 'BREXIT means BREXIT' buys a little time the public, the markets, investors, her Cabinet and her nemesis - the EU grow increasingly impatient demanding to know; 'What's the plan, and is it hard, soft or flaccid?'Former 'Bake Off' winner, Victoria Sponge, needs certainty to chart a route to success and profitability for her expanding cake empire. Ralph Cummingtonite, expatriate vintner, needs to know if he can retain his French home, vineyard and business or will his assets be appropriated and he, himself, deported? John Bull, English patriot, EDL activist, skinhead and neo-Nazi just wants his bloody country back.In the lair of the beast, Bruxelles, Jean-Claude Focke-Wulf, Donald Tsk-Tsk, Michel Barmier and Angela Merkin conspire and plot to ensure that the UK gets smacked on its ass by the door as it leaves the negotiating table empty-handed.On his South Devon estate Sir Barrington Babbling-Brooke, Civil Servant Emeritus, is burdened by an eight-year old secret. The author of Article 50 has committed a spectacular act of legerdemain. It is his uniquely bureaucratic version of 'the cosmic joke'. Should he continue to keep his powder dry or spill the beans?
