Cowboys and Indians? Not hardly. The Cowboys, actually, came on the scene very late. The First Americans, as seen on the cover of this book, will be thoroughly covered. The picture was taken by the crew of The HMS Challenger Expedition, 1872-1876 A.D. at the most Southern region of South America, at a place called Tierra del Fuego. This picture can be seen today in the Natural Museum of London. Africans not only came before Columbus and Clovis, but were in the Americans far before any other group, at least 60,000 years ago. We will go through evidence exposed by a panel of credible scholars, professors and researchers. The evidence lies in several different scientific fields. Do not forget the Egyptians. They were also here far before the Vikings or Columbus. They left structures above and below the waves in far away places in North America. From the East to the West Coasts; from the valleys to mountain tops that still carry their names. You will read about remnants of their artifacts, writings, architecture and more. For years this story was hidden and forbidden to be repeated. Researchers who dared to bring out new finds that were against the accepted history were intimidated, funding terminated and in some cases jobs and careers put in jeopardy. Authors such as Dr. Imhotep are now throwing caution to the wind and lifting the veil of secrecy never to be closed again. This is a true history for all to learn and enjoy and there is much more on its way ... as the veil of secrecy and concealed information is made available to the public in my future, "Lifting of the Veil Series."

This Book Will Change The Way History Is Written About The Western Hemisphere "In The First Americans were Africans Dr. David Imhotep makes a passionate, imaginative and comprehensive case for a radical rewrite of orthodox history. I was provoked, entertained and intrigued by the book and many interesting possibilities that it opens up for consideration." Graham Hancock author of Fingerprints of the Gods "David Imhotep's thesis is an exciting study and a must-read for anyone interested in the origins of the first Americans. It is our deep conviction that black Africa is at the very root of the human adventure and is the seed of all civilization, and Dr. Imhotep's work is a huge contribution in restoring to the black African people their rightful place in history." Robert Beavul and Thomas Brophy Ph.D. authors of Black Genesis "In this remarkable book, Dr. David Imhotep has pulled together an amazing set of facts. What is obvious is that what we have been told in history books about the true origin of ancient American civilization is simply wrong. This book provides convincing evidence that the Americas were settled far earlier than thought and that the earliest inhabitants probably came from Africa." Rev. James Lamb has provided the Afro centric Spiritual community a tremendous literary historical-theological treatise. The psycho-social issues facing the African American community today have their roots in the legacy of white supremacy which has dominated Black life in all areas of human activity, including economics, education, entertainment, labor, law, politics, religion, sex and war. BLACK uncovers the historical legacy of this dehumanization process and provides the solution for the African American community to reclaim its African soul by restoring its memory of the Ancient Egyptian genius to address contemporary struggles of Black life in all areas of people activity, including economics, education, entertainment, labor, law, politics, religion, sex and war. Rev. Richard D. Bullard, ThM Senior Pastor of Grace Evangelical Baptist Church Pine Bluff, Arkansas “This book parallels the practice of religion and the history of African and African American culture. Rev. Lamb takes the reader on his lifelong journey of discovery and realizations of his morality and his responsibility as a man of the cloth. This book offers compelling dialogue that makes the reader reflect and search within for answers we should all seek for ourselves.” Garbo Hearne, Independent Bookseller, Pyramid Art, Books & Custom Framing BLACK: A clear straight forward historical and present day look into the complex world of Black people. From genius Empires displayed historically through slavery, Jim Crow, racial tension and Black on Black crimes; BLACK stands as a monument of practical resource information giving revelation of a great history. BLACK should be required reading in all educational institutions. Frazier Lamb Social Worker Department of Children Family Services State of Connecticut

With the number of elderly persons needing long-term care expected to double to 14 million over the next two decades, assisted living has become the popular choice for housing or care. Assisted living represents a promising model of long-term care that blurs the sharp distinction between nursing homes and community-based care and reduces the gap between receiving long-term care in one's own home and in an "institution." Assisted Living: Needs, Practices, and Policies in Residential Care for the Elderly examines the evolving field of residential care and focuses on national issues of regulation, reimbursement, and staffing. The book is based on a four-state study of assisted living facilities and describes the facilities, the persons residing in them and their needs, and how the services vary by facility. Because one-third to two-thirds of residents in assisted living facilities have cognitive impairment, special attention is devoted to dementia care. The book also focuses on how today's long-term health care environment evolved, and it examines the future direction and implications of assisted living. Assisted Living: Needs, Practices, and Policies in Residential Care for the Elderly brings together a group of nationally recognized experts to help define the types of residential care that should be encouraged and sets guidelines for selecting an appropriate type of facility. -- Susan Daggett
